Training for ITIL 4 Foundation is available through accredited providers in various formats. The certification exam assesses candidates’ recall and understanding of the ITIL framework, requiring a minimum of 26 out of 40 marks (65%) to pass within a 60-minute, closed-book format. Since 2023, PeopleCert Global Best Practice certifications, including ITIL 4 Foundation, must be renewed every three years to maintain their validity and relevance. This qualification is also a prerequisite for advanced ITIL certifications, which focus on applying the framework in practical contexts.
