Unit 3: Managing a Business

This unit focuses on the processes and considerations essential for managing a business effectively to achieve its objectives. Students explore various types of businesses, their goals, and the role of stakeholders in influencing outcomes. By analyzing strategies for managing staff and operations, they gain insights into the challenges and complexities of business management. Theoretical frameworks are compared with real-world practices through the analysis of contemporary Australian and global case studies from the last four years.

 

Unit 4: Transforming a Business

In this unit, students examine the need for businesses to adapt and evolve to meet their objectives. They learn to assess performance using key performance indicators and study strategic management approaches to position businesses for future success. Students explore a theoretical model for change management, evaluate strategies for improving business performance, and assess the role of effective management and leadership during organizational change. Contemporary case studies from the past four years are used to compare theoretical concepts with actual business practices.
